Sambal Fried Rice Recipe

Here's how to cook #Sambal #Fried #rice. Since our west coast chilli is mildly spicy, it will not leave you with a burning sensation after this yummy meal.

Ingredients

Cooked white rice (cooled) made from 1 cup of rice

Seafood of your choice. I am using fish, prawn and squid (diced) lightly seasoned with sugar and salt.

Cooking oil

West Coast Sambal Chilli

Ikan bilis flavour

Method

  • heat 4 tbsp oil in pan

  • add 1 tbsp West Coast Sambal chilli

  • Add your seafood and stir fry till 80% cooked.

  • remove seafood from the pan but leave the oil inside the pan.

Note : The above will give your seafood that Sambal flavour

  • Next add the cooked rice to the pan

  • Add two tbsp of West Coast Sambal Chilli

  • Stir fry the rice over medium heat and make sure the sambal is evenly mixed with the rice.

  • increase the heat and add the seafood.

  • Stir fry until the rice and seafood is well cooked and aromatic.

Serving Suggestion

Serve the fried rice together with a sunny side up egg,slices of cucumber and tomatoes
