A simple Chinese breakfast
Chwee Kuey

Those living in Singapore are probably familiar with this humble breakfast (#Chweekuey). It is made from rice flour batter that is steamed in a metal mould. The toppings are made from pan fried preserved radish.

Although it looks simple, each chef will have their unique recipe to make this dish a delight or a flop.

One of the important too with #Chweekuey is chilli.

AND THAT CAN REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE

I must eat Chwee Kuey with Chilli sauce. However, the stall near my home provide the worst of the worst Chilli sauce.

Therefore, I always make sure the hawker do not add chilli to my food and I will add my own West Coast Chilli to enhance the overall taste of this simple taste.

West Coast Chilli is very good for enhancing the taste of Chwee Kuey. Remember to tell the hawker not to add Chilli to your Chwee Kuey and you can add west coast chilli to it. Trust me. It taste better.
